Members of the Forbes Technology Council share their hiring strategies to ensure success in hiring evergreen candidates. Patrick Emmons, Founder and CEO of DragonSpears, shares the importance of hiring generalist roles over specialists.

Emmons states, "It's predicted that the business landscape will change rapidly." Acquiring talent for generalist roles allows the candidate to "apply different strategies and oversee big-picture processes," contrary to specialists who tend to be "hyper-focused." There's a risk of getting trapped in an individual silo, which "can get you stuck in the mud," he adds.
