Defining and Communicating Your Vision During a Digital Transformation

Digital transformations are instrumental in improving a company’s operations and productivity. Although, they aren’t always a linear process, especially when barriers stand in the way of success. Tech leaders are amongst the first to identify potential hurdles. If internal roadblocks are not communicated, they can be detrimental to the digital transformation process.

Members of the Forbes Technology Council shared 15 common roadblocks to digital transformation, and strategies to overcome them. Amongst the panel was Patrick Emmons, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at DragonSpears.

Emmons disclosed that it’s essential to have a structured and clearly communicated vision of what the company will look like after the transformation, otherwise “no one will be able to help achieve the transformation.” He added that dividing the “BHAG (big hairy audacious goal)” into smaller, more obtainable objectives each quarter will contribute to the success of the transformation.
